We were asked to undertake commercial roof maintenance at a well-known property in Queens Square, Wrexham. The property also fronts onto Queen Street and Argyll Street and was in need of the gutters being completely cleaned out and repairs on the half-roof at the front. This is a high footfall area so care had to be taken when carrying out the work. Therefore, we selected a day and time when the footfall would be lower which included avoiding the busy Monday Market that occurs here every week.

We elected to use mobile scaffolding for this project. This saves on cost and is a safer option. Two workers quickly assemble and move a mobile scaffolding tower, making it the best choice for a long, single storey height roof in a busy area.

Gutter cleaning is an essential part of your roof maintenance, particularly as this is an overhanging roof along a shop frontage. Debris and dirt caught in the gutters could result in water ingress into the roof space and damage to the soffit below. Damage to the soffit would then involve even greater cost. We cleaned all the gutters along the long roofline step by step. We were also able to note any parts of the half-roof in need of repair and undertook this work there and then.
