Upgrade your Roofline with New Soffits, Fascias and Verge Tiles
An upgrade to your roofline is a much cheaper option than a whole new roof. It will also help your existing roof last much longer.
When it comes to roofing and roofline maintenance, the elements you don’t always see matter just as much as the roof surface. Soffits, fascias and verge tiles play a vital role in keeping your property weather-tight, structurally sound and looking good.
Upgrading all three together brings multiple benefits. These are improved ventilation which helps reduce attic condensation, enhanced weather protection, and a fresh clean appearance. You will also benefit from reduced maintenance in years ahead which means you save money.
Our Roofline Upgrade Process
1. Initial Inspection
First, we inspect the existing roofline carefully. At this point we check how the gutters/fascias currently perform. We also look for signs of rot, insect damage, leaks or wear. This lets us identify any hidden problems before installation begins.
2. Removal & Preparation
If old fascias, soffits or verge tiles are worn or damaged, these are carefully removed. We check the timber and roof structure beneath. If anything unexpected comes to light we will let you know immediately so you can stay informed and in control.
3. Fascia & Soffit Installation
Next we fit new fascias, usually using weather-resistent materials such as PVC/uPVC. We choose these because of their durabilty and low maintenance. If your property is Listed or in a Conservation Area we use materials in accordance with local planning requirements.
New soffits allow ventilation to your attic space whilst still keeping it watertight. They also provide a tidy finish to the eaves.
We also check gutters and replace where necessary. Good water flow from your roof results in fewer problems to your whole property.
4. Verge Tile Installation
The verge is the slanted edge of the pitched roof. We fix new verge tiles or verge systems that lock into the roof’s edge, ensuring wind and water-tight protection. These integrate with the existing roof covering so that rain or snow cannot force its way under the edge. They also help prevent wind uplift during strong storms.
