We were delighted to be asked by the local NHS Trust to repair roofs on buildings they own. These former nurses’ residences needed to be renovated. Repair The Valley, Not The Whole Roof Our customer was worried about water ingress in this slate valley. The lead was old and some tiles were beginning to break and move. A complete new roof was not needed in this instance. Replace, Re-Use and Recycle We removed the tiles around the existing lead flashing. Next, we replaced the old lead flashing with new. Protect Wooden Fascia This wooden fascia needed protection. The paint had peeled off in parts and without maintenance, the fascia would have become completely damaged. As part of a complete re-roof, we had been asked to change and replace the wood soffits and fascias. The wood itself had not become rotten, therefore we placed cladding over the top of the existing timber. The cladding protects the wood from weather, therefore no further maintenance will be needed.
